- Casting geometry, wall thickness, undercuts, surface and tolerance requirements.
Mould complexity
- Number of parting directions, mechanisms, ejection scheme.
Mould size
- Larger plates mean more calculation, more detailing and more review.
Cavity count
- Every additional cavity means balancing the gating and the cooling.
Slides and hydraulic cores
- Each mechanism is engineered separately: actuation, locking, clearance.
Thermal control and vacuum
- Systems for temperature stabilisation and air evacuation.
